5ft8in/173cm and 128lb/58kg. Messy, somewhat disheveled light blond hair and bright blue eyes. Often wearing some sort of suit vest over a white shirt with a popped collar, capri pants with suspenders hanging from the sides and loafers. On his right ear, are two red piercings. If he looks like he just woke up and got out of bed, it's intentional.

Friendly: Flat's the sort of person who would happily try befriending anything and everyone, regardless of their morals, species, or even past actions.
Optimistic: Flat is someone who has a sunny, optimistic disposition towards almost everything. He sees the silver lining in every cloud, and never seems to be deterred by any peril that he gets himself into.
Kind: Flat is a far kinder soul than most of his mage peers, and he does his best to be supportive to those that he thinks might need help (whether they want that help or not...)

Flat has the ability to sense magical energy with his five senses and interact with it as he pleases (ie, analyze, modify, absorb, etc). This allows him to be proficient with utilizing, modifying, and analyzing the leylines and other magical structures. This helps him tell, for example, the magical make up of someone/something, whether it's human, non-human, animate or inanimate.

A New Age form of Magecraft that involves taking pieces from different spells and mixing and matching them into an entirely new spell that fulfills the user's wishes. Flat can cheat his way into using it thanks to his void affinity, intuition, and the above magical senses, however, which is why he's able to use this form of Magecraft which is normally considered to be nearly impossible to use in practice.
He is not omnipotent, however. Because his spells lack a solid foundation, they are both unstable and unable to be reproduced. His spells are brittle by nature and can fall apart even with the slightest of interruptions or changes. He specializes in spell analysis and interference.

Flat's elemental affinity: void, otherwise known as ether. While it by itself is useless, it's the most basic building block of all modern magical energy and therefore compatible with all other 4 elemental types.

BACKGROUND
Flat Escardos can be summarized in one word: eccentric. And if you'd like to use two words: an idiot savant. Or, perhaps, a mad scientist. He's the most senior student in the Department of Modern Magecraft, being a thorn on his Professor's and his classmates' sides for about 10 years as, despite being an unparalleled genius in magecraft, his lack of common and boundless imagination sense makes him incompatible with the world around him. It is said combination of characteristics which lands him in the USA for a Holy Grail War, a war that he believed he could win by befriending all the other Servants and Masters, summoning the infamous Jack the Ripper with a plastic toy knife which he believed to be genuine. He's cheerfully insensitive and sometimes downright inconsiderate of everyone around him, but it's never done with malicious intent. It could be said that he doesn't have a single bad bone in his body. He loves everything and everyone— yes, you included.
And yet, underneath the relatively harmless exterior is something that is far more uncanny and incomprehensible. His lack of common sense, coupled with his boundless ability for magecraft has made him the target of confusion, fear, and rejection from countless other mages, including his very own parents that have tried to kill him, ousting him from the family. This gap is something that he tries to close constantly, whether it's by interacting with all sorts of content, from pop culture to history to literature, to controlling his facial expressions to make them appropriate for the situation. He keeps the more unpleasant or secret parts of himself, such as his family history, his purpose as a disposable personality for the vessel of the next Prime Species, and even his real name, either a secret or on the downlow. But, most importantly, it is his devotion to his Professor, Lord El Melloi II and his ideals that are paramount to shaping the persona known as Flat Escardos.
