[ he laughs at her comment, though it’s an idea that he can’t picture. thinking about it is difficult, if not outright impossible—like trying to grasp the fog with one’s hands. ]
You have experience with it, don’t you? I wanna hear about it!
It’s hard to say. I was created by the strongest magical artifact in the galaxy. Since there was a human body in stasis that matched the name and face I was generated with, and I had no memories, both the Moon Cell and I didn’t realize I was any different from the Masters that knowingly and willingly submitted their minds and souls into the Grail for a long time.
[She’s quiet for a long moment, leaning her temple against his shoulder rather than look at him, for the next part.]
But, in actuality I was just originally supposed to be an NPC; a literal background character made to help facilitate the war, and then get deleted when it was over. That was a pretty hard thing to swallow, finding out I was made to be used and disposed of, rather than just a normal girl.
[ he listens closely to her story, smiling sadly down at her. to be used and disposed like some tool... well, that was everyone’s fate in the end, wasn’t it?
but he remembers their chat, or at least bits of it, like a dream. he remembers the insistence that she had when telling it that it was still human, despite it all. ]
It just means that you’re a strong person! And I think you’re very human too, Hakunon. Human and a cute faerie, too!
I feel like I am. I’ve been assured that I am. I may not be a natural born human, but I have the heart and mind and soul of one. I even have a flesh and blood body now, though that’s what added the fae part into the mix. But if I can count as human, even with wings and a major iron allergy—
[She reaches down and squeezes his hand.]
—then you—all of you—ought to count, too. I found them pretty cute too, in their own way.
[ please. flat’s heart can’t take something like that being directed at him. and whether it enjoyed the time with hakuno was not something that he could confirm or deny.
at least the music gets his mind off of it all, and he grins at hakuno, squeezing her hand gently. ]
Come on, let’s go! I can’t wait to teach you how to dance!
[She lets him change the subject and sweep her up into his pace, though, because that’s better than him dwelling on his death, its purpose, or the aftermath. She settles into position, shifting her hand in his grasp to a proper, raised clasp.]
I have yet to have a proper lesson, but by now I’m at least confident I can follow a good lead.

[ flat gapes at her like a fish, the flush on his cheeks growing a little more red as she both calls him (and it) cute and....and human. ]
Jeez, Hakuno... you’re too embarrassing, you know? No wonder it was so weirded out by you!

[She smiles, grinning up at him.]
But I'll be nice, today. And I think they enjoyed themselves, for the most part!
[Ahd speaking of, the music swells up as they turn the corner. It's a different set of songs, this time, but it's lively all the same.]

[ he holds one of her hands, raised to her head level, and another on her hip. ]
You’ve already danced with “me” before, but I might be a little different. Maybe I’ll be better? Who knows~.
[ and he begins to guide her. a little slow at first, but then quickly catching up to the rhythm of the music. ]
